We are currently looking for an experienced TIG Welder/Fabricator to join the team. The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in TIG welding and fabrication of stainless steel and aluminium materials.

Key responsibilities:

  • Fabrication and welding of bespoke stainless steel and aluminium products using sheet, plate, tube, and machined components (1mm – 30mm)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to determine best fabrication and welding methods
  • Adhere to the companies’ policies and procedures
  • Maintaining the company’s high standard of housekeeping to ensure that the work area is organised, clean and hazard free
  • Involvement in the continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes and products
  • Safe operation of lifting equipment
  • Safe operation of machinery, hand tools and power tools
  • Using your own initiative to solve and overcome problems
  • Undertake any other reasonable duty requested from the company
  • A diverse range of products to work with due to our bespoke nature

  • Skills, experience and requirements

  • 2 years TIG welding experience (essential)
  • 2 years fabrication experience (preferred but not essential as training is provided)
  • MIG welding experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to work alone or within a team
  • Flexibility of working hours when required
  • High attention to detail and quality conscious
  • Excellent time keeping
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of the quality requirements expected within the food and beverage, pharmaceutical or veterinary industries is desired

We are currently looking for an Assembly Operative to join our Hydro physio department to assemble and fit aquatic therapy treadmills for humans and canine using fabricated and machined components. You will read and interpret engineering drawings to determine best assembly and fitting methods. You will have direct access to the solid model within the build area with full training on the software given. No paper drawings!

    Key responsibilities:

  • Assembly of products to the required standard
  • Use handheld tools when required
  • Read and understand engineering drawings and use 3D models
  • Check and report any defects on products

  • Skills, experience and requirements

  • Experience in working within a fast paced manufacturing environment preferred
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good time keeping and punctual
  • The ability to use own initiative is essential
  • Must be able to work both within a team and as an individual

    Job duties

  • Fitting of Pre-built Electrical panels to a variety of OEM machines.
  • Routing and connection of cabling to peripheral parts and sensors such as Limit switches, Proximity sensors and Door interlocks.
  • Electrical connection to Single and Three phase motors, Hydraulic power packs and Pneumatic components.
  • Assembly and wiring of basic electrical panels and cable assemblies.
  • Problem solving and working with Machine designers to improve build techniques and production methods.
  • Documenting panel layouts and Component Bill of Materials.
  • Preparation, assembly, and wiring of our product line to prepare for testing and final quality inspection.
  • Live testing of OEM machines following test procedures and recording of results, this requires an understanding of correct system function and possible failure situations.

  • Skills, Characteristics and Experience required

  • Understand and interpret wiring schematics diagrams to complete installation of electrical components.
  • Skilled at fitting appropriate cable terminations and routing a variety of cable types using glands, conduits and trunking.
  • Fault finding skills using a Multimeter.
  • Able to perform mechanical assembly of subassemblies using hand and/or power tools.
  • Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.
  • Experience using various tools including manual/electric/pneumatic tools.
  • Can safely operate a variety of material handling equipment (Pallet pump truck, Cranes, hand carts, and prescribed safety equipment.)
  • Access all required parts of the machines during build, including occasionally using ladders and work platforms where required.
  • Computer literate using Microsoft office packages.
  • Able to work on own initiative and manage work load to suit production schedules.
  • Good attitude towards continuous improvement, attention to detail and quality of work.

    Key Duties

  • To make suitable and relevant transport arrangements for all deliveries.
  • To co-ordinate all deliveries with the relevant departments.
  • To work with the production management team to organise transport in line with budget and customer expectations.
  • To work with planning, particularly at month end in closing jobs off for invoicing.
  • To carry out all relevant transport administration to a high standard including obtaining correct documentation for export etc.
  • To code transport types for accounting purposes

  • Experience

    What you'll be doing
